This month Glossybox celebrates it’s 9th Birthday! Even in the past year that I have been subscribed it’s developed loads. I would say improved but I have loved 99% of the boxes, each month just gets better and better and the quality of the products are great.
As well as celebrating it’s birthday, Glossybox also launched a skincare range! In the range there is 4 creams/moisturisers, 3 cleansers, a night serum, an exfoliating scrub and a mist. All of these range from £15-£22.50 but of course if you are a subscriber, you get a discount meaning they range from £12-£18.
Going back to this months box…. Apart from the box being a vibrant pink colour and literally tied with a bow, what do you actually get inside it?
Brushworks – HD Wonder Complexion Sponge
It’s like they new I had just thrown out my make-up sponge and was back using a compact brush. They provided a new complexion sponge!
It’s a decent sized sponge, it has one flat side for the larger areas and a pointy end to get into all the nooks and crannies. If you were to buy this in the shop it would set you back £5.49. And it’s well worth the price.
Molton Brown – Delicious Rhubarb & Rose Bath & Shower Gel
This for me screams Autumn/Winter because gift sets of Molton Brown are all over! However, saying that I have not actually tried anything from the brand so as soon as I saw this I had a bath to test it out.
It’s in a gorgeous rhubarb and rose sent which was nice and rexaxing. For my path I pour 1/3 of the bottle in and it made a decent amount of bubbles. This deluxe mini costs £7.33 and a full sized bottle is £22, which if you really love your baths is totally worth the money.
Steve Laurant – Vogue Lip Liner
When I first saw this I thought it was going to be an eyeliner because apart from 1 lip gloss, everything from Steve Laurant has been for the eyes. However this is a lovely rose toned lip liner pencil.
It is nice and pigmented and does not bleed throughout the day. I have thoroughly enjoyed wearing this liner because I barely need to touch up my lips once this is applied, even when eating food! The pencil retails a £12.09 which, after testing this one I would seriously consider getting more… On payday for a treat because I’m a cheapskate.
Glossybox Skincare – Eye Boost Cream
Like I mentioned at the start, Glossybox have released a skincare range and they have only gone and gave us a full sized eye cream!
I have never really thought about using eye cream before but considering I’m late 20’s I should really start prolonging the inevitable wrinkles from staring. I have been using this cream every morning and night since receiving it and it is lovely and refreshing. Even when stored at room temperature the cream still feels cool when applied. It retails £23 but to subscribers it is £16.
Huda Beauty – Demi Matte Cream Lipstick
I would say, saving the best for lat but I have bloody loved everything in this box so far! However you know Glossy box have knocked it out of the park when they slip in a little Huda Beauty!
There are a possible 10 shades that you could receive and I got the shade “SHEro”. I am so unsure what shade you can class this as, one minute it’s a brown-y nude, the next it has shades of pink in it. But either way I bloody love this lipstick! Teamed with the lipliner above they are a match made in heaven.
Once you have applied your lipstick it is best to blot with some tissue otherwise it feels heavy and transfers onto your teeth when you talk or smile. This beaut retails at £18.
Overall the contents of this box is £62.91 meaning it’s a saving of £47.91. I mean, you can’t moan at that! I’m already looking forward to next months box. Plus on the 8th September the advent calendar is available for Glossy subscribers to pre-order! YAS! I am SO ready for the cosy half of the year and CHRISTMAS!
